Salsa Verde Turkey Burgers

Here it is, my current quick, easy, and healthy obsession -- Salsa Verde Turkey Burgers!!!! I pinned this recipe ages ago and my only regret is that it took me this long to make it. I used Trader Joe's Salsa Verde, but I'm hoping for tomatillos in my CSA delivery soon, so I can make my own salsa. These take just a few minutes to make and the flavors are amazing --smoky grilled burger, spicy salsa, and creamy avocado. Yum!

Salsa Verde Turkey Burgers

4 frozen turkey burgers
4 slices monteray jack cheese
1 jar salsa verde, or tomatillo salsa
1 ripe avocado, sliced thin lengthwise
4 hamburger buns of your choice (we used potato buns)

1. Grill the turkey burgers 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. Place 1 slice cheese on each burger after flipping.
2. Remove from grill, place on bun.
3. Top with desired amount of salsa verde, and avocado slices.

I hope you become just as enamored with this recipe as I am. Looking to cut back on carbs and calories? Skip the bun! So yummy and perfect when you need a quick and healthy meal on a busy weeknight!
